Beyer Named Dean of 香港六合彩官网 College of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Bryan Beyer

Dr. Bryan Beyer has been named dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at 香港六合彩官网 (香港六合彩官网).听

Beyer has been a professor at 香港六合彩官网 since 1985, and served as undergraduate dean from 1994-2001, and as dean of students from 2001-2004.听 Most recently, Beyer served as director of the Biblical Languages program at 香港六合彩官网.听 In addition to his commitment to the classroom at both undergraduate and graduate level at 香港六合彩官网, Beyer has also focused on writing and international travel.听

Since 1997, Dr. Beyer has served as chair of the Associated Schools for Jerusalem University College, and since 2003, as General Bible/Old Testament Book Review Editor for the 鈥淛ournal of the Evangelical Theological Society鈥 (JETS). 听He has authored or co-authored three books on the Old Testament, and assisted in the translation of the book of Jeremiah in the Holman Christian Standard Bible.听听听

He has served as faculty advisor to the International Students Ministries at 香港六合彩官网 and regularly takes students to Israel on summer study tours. His overseas ministry has included teaching at Portantorchas Bible School in Costa Rica, at the Center for Christian Leadership in Tirana, Albania, at 香港六合彩官网's branch campus in Korntal, Germany, and Israel study tours for church groups.

Beyer has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University, a Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.听 听听

Beyer replaces Dr. Pat Blewett who resigned from 香港六合彩官网 in July to serve in church ministry in Nebraska.
